Privacy PolicyI apologise that this is highly unedited. But I doubt I can make it any better at 1am… xD
Jillian paced frantically from one side of the room to the other rubbing his face with ice-cold hands. He had stacked every windowsill, table and every other flat surface with lit candles. Yet still the room felt too dark.
A vicious breeze manifested itself and made the flames dance wildly. A candle tipped over and spilled wax over the polished floorboards. Jillian inhaled deeply and huddled into a corner with his back pressed against the walls. “No,no,no… leave me alone.”
A chill touched his shoulder and caressed his cheek. Jillian curled up, wrapping his arms around his legs and tucked this head between his knees.
“Go… Away. I’m not here.”
“Oh I think you are.” A raspy voice huffed inside his mind, and a dark slithering presence squeezed his solar plexus. “I’m inside you, remember?”
Jillian’s vision flickered, a sure sign he had no control over the force screwing with him. He twisted his neck nervously and rubbed this throat. It felt as if a beast tried to scratch its way out through it.
“Then get out! I don’t want you anywhere near me!” He shot to his feet and scrambled to a shelf nearby. Instead of bothering to find a key he kicked the lock open.
“We are not doing this again are we?”
Jillian did not reply, he grabbed the widest bottle of wine he could find and started gulping it down.
“Very well, It is your health…”
The last gulp turned into fire in his stomach and he collapsed to the floor screaming. Shadows coiled around him and formed into the shape of a black demonic wolf. Jillian’s heart leapt into his throat blocking any sound that came along with it. He reached out for the tablecloth hanging just inches out of his reach.
“Fuck..” He stretched a bit further feeling the fabric brush against his fingertips. The shadow wolf growled and stepped towards him. There was no time to be careful. Jillian pushed away with his feet and pulled the cloth down over himself. The dozen of candles stacked on it came down with it and set the cloth ablaze.
The room filled with light and the shadow wolf dissolved. For a moment the entities grip on his mind weakened. Jillian took the opportunity to storm out of the room, coughing and hyperventilating.
There was no where to run, but for the moment his mind and body was his own. While the tavern staff rushed to battle the flames he slipped the necessary drugs into a glass and mixed it with the drink that would render him unconscious.
