Privacy PolicyYup, I’m way behind… but I will catch up! Need to get in to that super productive zone again and maybe dish out a couple in one day… x3 But hey! Only three left from this week and five more until we are done with this thing! I think I might miss it…
Koyra’s farm prospered, but it was never enough. Whenever his crops yielded more then expected or his livestock birthed more then he would have to sell, more was asked of him.
The nobles of Avaschte’hireai would not have their subjects accumulate any wealth beyond what they considered appropriate.
Koyra watched as three Morgethri elves rode up the path to his house. Two of them in shiny fitted armour and the third… Koyra grumbled and his guts twisted.? “Nobles…” He spat and lumbered towards them.
Shiru ai Adwahn wore beautiful black robes without even the smallest of tear in the fabric. A muscle in Koyra’s face twitched as he examined the exquisite embroidering on them. No doubt they had been recently made and never been worn before. The steed was just as fine, a slim black horse from the best breeder.
“How may I be of service my lord.” He hid his spite well. Failing to do so could easily get him killed.
“I am here to see how well you are doing. My father has been informed that you are doing very good.” Shiru didn’t even look at the farmer but rather settled his eyes on his horse’s ears.
“I am glad to hear that, my lord. I fail to see why you would then bother with the trip.” Koyra was sure the trip had been made only to cloud his day. Nobles had nothing else to do then to bother those who had important things to attend to.
“Oh it is no bother I assure you.” Shiru shrugged and pretended to brush some road dust off his shoulder. His tone however, revealed it did bore him and that he would rather have been elsewhere. “We can not always rely on what others tell us, can we?”
Koyra smirked. He was clearly being threatened and accused of hiding recourses.? “Of course not my lord.” He bowed low. “Please come this way and I’ll show you my stock.” He knew there was no point in hiding anything.
It would only bring bloodshed. His blood. And that was the most precious thing he had and would rather keep to himself. But it was tempting, and would be so terrible easy to slip some poison into a barrel of wine and be rid of his supervisors.
